Fall and Halloween Decor Tour

Happy Saturday! We were supposed to go on a camping trip this weekend, but cancelled at the last minute due to the forecasts for poor weather.

I’ve been keeping myself busy today anyway by doing some fall decorating. I still have to do the outside, but thought it would be fun to show what I’ve done so far inside the house!

Happy first day of spring, little chicka-dees!

I love spring – it’s such a season of renewal and starting fresh. Ahhh…

In honor of the first day of spring, I thought I’d share a few springy items I’m loving right now.

1. NAILS – In shades of tangerine and mint green:

2. BRIGHT DENIM – I bought these MNG by Mango brand jeans from JC Penney for $40, and they are so comfy and the prettiest shade!

Here’s how I wore these jeans today for work:

3. LIPS – Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Peach Parfait:

It’s a nice, natural shade that stays on for a surprisingly long time and feels nice and…well…buttery on the lips!

4. The return of SELF TANNER! Buh-bye pasty whiteness. My obsession:

6. And finally, sweet cheerful SPRING DECOR to brighten up our happy home:

I found this pic on Pinterest. I love the idea of a cute arrangement with either Easter eggs, jelly beans, or slices of fresh lemon and lime in the vase…so pretty!

Spring Cleaning – Part 1

I have been working diligently at my 40 days of spring cleaning!

Here is part 1 of my progress thus far.

Bathrooms:

1. Throw out expired medications and old cosmetics. Organize and wipe down these storage areas
2. Clean out areas under the sink in all bathrooms
3. Reseal grout lines in master bathroom (haven’t done this yet, but I bought the materials! Need hubby’s help to finish this)
4. Scrub floors
5. Clean windows and light fixtures

Bedrooms:

6. Wash all bedding, pillows, etc.
7. Wipe down walls and baseboards.
8. Clean windows, blinds, and window treatments
9. Clean out and organize closets and dresser drawers

I’m going to finish some stuff up around the kitchen this weekend, and will post that as part 2.

Office Inspiration

What I have:

An empty room (formerly a living room) with unpainted french doors laying on the floor. Shades are drawn to protect the room’s nakedness from the neighbors. Unusable, empty space.
